Tessa Gokce

Learning Specialist

My work with children began nearly two decades ago, when I volunteered as a soccer coach for children ages three to ten. I later advanced into a leadership role coordinating the youth coaching team and went on to build experience in Montessori education, private tutoring, and behavioral support, including four years in applied behavior analysis (ABA). I also co-created MindMonsters, a therapeutic role-playing game designed to support children’s social-emotional development and self-regulation, which was successfully funded on Kickstarter.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology from The Evergreen State College. While completing my degree, I had the opportunity to observe and teach in schools in Denmark. I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Applied Neuroscience at King’s College London. My professional training includes Montessori Primary Guide certification, the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential, and IMSE Orton-Gillingham training in structured literacy.



At BMS, I draw upon this multidisciplinary background to understand students’ individual needs, develop personalized academic and behavioral supports, and collaborate with teachers and families. Outside of school, I enjoy creative writing, practicing medieval sword fighting, video games, Magic: The Gathering, and tabletop roleplaying games.
