Sabaidee—which means “hello” in Lao—reflects where my journey began. I am originally from Laos, a small country in Southeast Asia surrounded by many vibrant and culturally rich nations. I moved to the United States in 2017 to pursue my master’s degree in Hotel and Tourism Management. Prior to that, I worked as a teacher at a vocational school and as a trainer in the hotel sector in Laos, where I coached individuals dedicated to delivering exceptional service.

After the pandemic, I was introduced to the Montessori philosophy and was deeply inspired by its child-centered and respectful approach—so different from the traditional education I experienced growing up. This discovery sparked a new passion for early childhood education and motivated me to pursue Montessori training. I am now in my third year working in a Montessori environment.

As a Montessori educator, I find immense joy in supporting children as they explore, create, and learn at their own pace. Watching them grow into confident, independent thinkers is incredibly rewarding. I strive to cultivate a classroom atmosphere that is joyful, calm, and filled with meaningful opportunities for discovery.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy zumba, yoga, and cooking. I am also a coffee lover, and in my free time I enjoy searching for new cafés to try. So far, Lighthouse in Seattle remains my favorite—especially because they roast their own coffee beans.
