Kelly Yee

HR Generalist

I have lived in cities such as Edmonton, AB & Vancouver, BC, Canada, Hong Kong, San Francisco, and now Seattle. Previously, I worked for a non-profit afterschool French language school called EFBA, which served K-12 students and was my first experience in children’s education. The school promoted bilingualism and focused on interactive learning to build children’s self-confidence and esteem. Its teachings closely resembled the Montessori philosophy, which inspired my interest in Bellevue Montessori School—the way it allows children the autonomy and focus to develop their skills in an open and creative environment. Many of my friends’ children attended Montessori programs and shared their positive experiences, further deepening my connection to this approach.

I became interested in HR during my university studies in leadership and management, and through my work in both retail and recruitment. I enjoy learning how to develop people’s skills, build training opportunities, and create a culture that fosters growth and retention.



In my spare time, I love spending time with my husband, our son, our long-haired dachshund Tobi, and my family and friends. I also enjoy exploring Seattle and the Pacific Northwest, traveling to new places, discovering restaurants, visiting local wineries, and staying active through walks and fitness.
