Head Teacher

It is a joy to return to Bellevue Montessori School, where I first began my Montessori journey as an intern and later served as a head teacher. Being back at BMS truly feels like coming home.

When my family moved to South Korea, I had the privilege of teaching elementary students and serving as an English instructor at a government institution. Those experiences, together with my Montessori work, gave me the opportunity to guide children at different stages of growth, which I find deeply rewarding.

I bring over 16 years of teaching experience, including 9 years as a Montessori teacher, and hold both Primary and Lower Elementary Montessori certifications. During the years I took off to raise my sons, I pursued Montessori Elementary training to deepen my understanding of this next stage of learning. Through this journey, I gained greater insight into how to prepare and guide children—both my own and my students—while continuing to grow as a mother and a teacher.

Teaching is my passion. I see it as planting a seed—providing a warm, caring, and supportive environment, offering the right guidance, and then stepping back to allow children to grow into independent, confident learners. Watching them flourish academically, socially, and emotionally brings me immense joy.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy traveling, watching movies, and taking walks with my husband and our two wonderful sons.
