Head Teacher
For the past 28 years, I’ve had the joy of being a lead teacher at Bellevue Montessori School, a place that truly feels like my second home. My journey in education started at Eton School, where I first encountered the Montessori philosophy and fell in love with its approach to learning.
I graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in English and a minor in psychology, which helps me support my students’ emotional well-being. I believe that children flourish when they feel happy and safe, and that’s at the heart of everything I do.
I also hold my early childhood education certification from MACTE, which I earned while interning at Bellevue Montessori. This experience solidified my passion for teaching and deepened my commitment to my students.
When I'm not in the classroom, I treasure time spent with my family and enjoy volunteering at my daughter's high school, where I help with the marching band. Each year brings fresh experiences that enhance my understanding of children and enrich my teaching journey.
