Reading Specialist

Kindergarten teachers are the first people to introduce students to the world of education. They open doors that some children didn’t even know existed! If teachers incorporate these traits into their teaching, they can develop students who are lifelong learners. After teaching many years in elementary and high school as well at the college level, my passion is with kindergarten students. My counseling background is in social, emotional, physical, and intellectual disabilities.

My doctorate is in Health Education with a focus on how medication effects learning. I firmly believe that if you meet the student where they are and provide a learning environment that encourages academic growth, all students will learn with the right amount of patience, creativity, flexibility, and respect for all students.

I am delighted to be working at Bellevue Montessori School with a group of dedicated and caring teachers, they make my job as a Reading Specialist enjoyable.
