Kelly Yee

HR Generalist

I lived in cities such as Edmonton, AB & Vancouver, BC, Canada, Hong Kong, San Francisco, and now Seattle. Previously, I worked for a non-profit afterschool French language school called EFBA catered to K-12 and was my first time involved with children's education. The school promoted bilingualism and focused on interactive learning to help build children's self confidence and esteem. The teachings were quite similar to the Montessori style which was why I wanted to work at Bellevue Montessori School: the way it allows children to have the autonomy and focus to help develop their skills in an open and creative environment. Most of my friends' children attended a Montessori program at one point in their lives and have shared their positive experiences. I started to get interested in HR from my time studying in university about leadership and management, and when I worked at a retail space and recruitment agency. I love learning about how to develop people's skills, training, and how we can foster and create retention. In my spare time, I love to spend time with my husband, family, friends, and our long hair dachshund Tobi. I also love to work on my travel and lifestyle blog, go explore Seattle & the Pacific Northwest, travel to new places, explore new restaurants, try new wineries, and go to my local crossfit gym.
