Montessori Guide

I grew up in a large family in Michigan. I attended the University of Michigan, where I met my husband. We moved to various parts of the country but eventually ended up staying in the Pacific Northwest. We have one grown son.

I have worked at Bellevue Montessori off and on for many years. I previously worked with children at the primary level but took the Montessori Infant and Toddler training course in 2018. I hold a Montessori credential for infants and toddlers from the Montessori Educational Institute of the Pacific Northwest (MEIPN). I enjoy the enthusiasm that the toddlers bring to school each day and their eager absorbent minds.

I enjoy many aspects of nature, especially animals, rocks, and plants. I feel that nature has a myriad of benefits. I try to incorporate many different types of nature into the classroom to provide a beautiful and inspiring learning environment for the children.
